Leading the Drive to 3.5

You Showed UP!

“I look around here, at all of you. Today YOU SHOWED UP!

And you keep showing up in solidarity, making your voices heard and fighting the good fight. As long as we do that, as long as we keep pushing so-called leaders to actually lead, and as long as we remain committed to spreading the word to our friends and neighbors, I have hope for the future.

Because the fact is, we don’t have any time to waste.”

— Martin C. Fredrick IV, #FMClimateStrike21

Indeed, Fargo, ND cooperating with Moorhead, MN, participated in the Fridays for Future event that turned out activists in more than 1,000 locations around the world. The march, #FMClimate Strike21, started at lovely Island Park and headed through downtown Fargo to finally land at Fargo City Hall.

I counted about a 100 people representing a variety of ages, ethnicities, religions, and genders who marched and then patiently listened to and supported the lineup of speakers at City Hall.

There are many ways you can get involved on a hyper-local level to address the climate crisis. The first step is to raise your hand and your voice.

Our Drive to 3.5 philosophy is predicated on inspiring action and community coalition-building. Our goal is to give you the tools to be more effective on a local level.

Sign up if you want to hear more about what you can do to be the change-maker you want to be in your local community.
